Industry partners play a key role in deploying solutions and scaling impact in communities. CCI works directly with communities to empower them to identify and address their unmet needs; we connect them with companies to help meet those needs and act as a liaison to create understanding and trust.
We work with companies across a variety of industries to advise and help implement initiatives to engage with underserved communities.
As part of The Chelsea Project, we connected the city of Chelsea with the company BioBot Analytics, to analyze wastewater in the city for COVID. Chelsea was one of the first places Biobot deployed wastewater testing for COVID and since then BioBot has expanded to testing wastewater in cities across the U.S.
In November 2021 when the Omicron surge emerged, CCI partnered with healthcare diagnostics startup IDx20, to bring rapid testing to the city of Chelsea. Together we started a program with The Chelsea Housing Authority to teach seniors to use rapid tests and how frequent rapid testing could help keep them healthy.
